AudioWave

Winter 2011

A quarter-long project, AudioWave was an experiment with learning the visual and sound capabilities of Flash and ActionScript 3. I really wanted to make a audio visualizer, and when I discovered that Flash had a way to do this, I jumped right on the opportunity. I learned a great deal from this project, from dealing with loading external sound, to learning to use mathematical equations to create some great visualizers.

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Evan Vaughn, and I'm a 21-year-old New Media Interactive Development student at Rochester Institute of Technology. I love having the ability to understand web technologies and use them to create dynamic websites. I've got a bit of a soft spot for graphic design, too. I believe being able to creatively come up with a design for a site, as well as being able to program it, are both valuable skills and makes a well-rounded, versatile designer.
